I did it.
I managed to finish the North Downs Way 50 in under 12 hours (11:53:42), a time I’d never thought I could do. I was hoping to finish in 12.5 hours but ultimately just wanted to complete the run before the 13.5 hour cut off. To have done it in under 12 hours feels fantastic.
Race day reflections will follow us in a later post once the eupohoria has died down. Suffice it to say that I’m still smiling and so glad that I delivered on the day. I did it. The months of long runs, early starts and back to back weekend runs have all been worth it.
I am an ultra (marathon) runner.
It feels great.
Well done Graham!! An amazing run sir! Sorry I wasn’t there to see you at the finish! Epic!! You are an ultrarunner!
You did well Chris. That must give you confidence for NDW100. It should do.
kind of! I had a great day yesterday, but doing that again and then another 50 miles is a little daunting!
Well done Graham, a great run.
Thanks. I’m delighted. This is only the beginning….
